The history of ROSTOW Bau GmbH is a rare and impressive success story that began after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Founded by the brothers Mario and Birger Wanke together with a Hamburg businessman friend, the company was developed from a small start-up into a successful medium-sized construction company through clever planning, tireless commitment and a lot of hard work. Today, ROSTOW employs 30 people and works with 21 sales partners - proof of what can come from a vision and hard work.

From the founding to an established company

Since its foundation, ROSTOW has continuously developed with a forward-looking strategy. Six construction management teams coordinate and manage an average of

50 construction sites , and all trades are carried out reliably. Over the years, ROSTOW has developed and opened up numerous building sites with sizes ranging from 6 to 83 residential units - an impressive achievement that illustrates the versatility and commitment of the company.

This constant development has enabled ROSTOW to offer more than 2,900 builders a new home. A home that impresses not only with its quality, but also with the satisfaction of customers over decades. The close cooperation with local tradesmen and many years of experience guarantee that safety, quality and trust remain core values of the company.

Mario Wanke , now the majority shareholder, has been at the helm of the company since it was founded. Under his leadership, ROSTOW has grown into a company that everyone involved can be proud of – from the employees to the numerous partners. But the future of the company is also secure: Richard Wanke, Mario Wanke's son, is already firmly following in his father's footsteps. In recent years he has taken on a central role in the company and, together with his father, is carrying on ROSTOW's values and traditions. With Richard Wanke in management, the next generation is already deeply rooted in the company and the continued existence of ROSTOW Bau GmbH is assured for customers and partners in the long term. Security and stability are not just empty words here, but a lived corporate philosophy.

It is particularly noteworthy that since its foundation, ROSTOW Bau GmbH has never needed a loan to meet its construction obligations to customers. ROSTOW even supports its customers in difficult negotiations with land sellers.

No one should be financially overextended, which is why the company develops individual financing solutions that perfectly match the customer's circumstances. 12% of prospective customers are advised to postpone their construction project out of a sense of responsibility - a principle that has proven successful. In the company's 26-year history, no customer is known to have had to sell their home for financial reasons.

The combined experience of over a quarter of a century in single-family home construction has made ROSTOW an expert in solid construction. Working with the modern building material expanded clay has proven particularly successful: the solid, dry and smooth walls ensure an excellent indoor climate from day one.
